  • What is VOIZBAY softphone?

    VOIZBAY Softphone is a free software which can be downloaded from our website www.voizbay.com , which enables you to make international calls. All you require is prepaid talk time.
  • What are the basic requirements to use VOIZBAY services?

    A PC or IP Phone / Gateway with Internet (Broadband or Dialup) is a must to use VOIZBAY services. We always suggest you to go for a Broadband connection to get optimum results in our services. Quality of service entirely depends on the bandwidth.

  • How do I know the tariffs for different destinations?

    You can check them in our URL www.voizbay.com

  • How do I know what exactly you charged for a call I made?

    Each call made by you is maintained in our database for 60 days. You can check the same  by logging in with your account details in our website www.voizbay.com

  • What Internet connection should I require?

    Dedicated Internet connection from any of the Internet Service Provider with good quality bandwidth, low latency with less packet loss.

  • What is the minimum bandwidth required for VOIZBAY  Softphone?

    The recommended minimum bandwidth for VOIZBAY Softphone is 20kbps

  •  How do I check the internet Quality?

    You can check the internet quality by pinging to any of the sites like: www.yahoo.com.

  •  How to download and Install a VOIZBAY  Softphone?

    Softphone Download Procedure: 
    - Go to www.voizbay.com
    - Click on Download Softphone Option.
    - Select the destination to save the VOIZBAY Softphone.exe and save.
    - It will start to download from the site to the local computer and VOIZBAY Softphone.exe    file will appear in the destination where you have downloaded.
    - Double click the VOIZBAY Dailer.exe downloaded file on your computer.
    - Continuously click on "Next" button until you get "Installation completed" message.
    - Click "OK"
    Your VOIZBAY Softphone is ready on your computer.
  •  How do I use the Softphone?

    - Double click on the installed Softphone on your desktop.
    - Enter VOIZBAY account number and password when prompted after installation.
    - Dial any international number and click on "Call" button and enjoy your international calls with best sound clarity and quality.
  •  How do I make outgoing calls from my  Softphone?

    Dial any international number without any "zeros" as prefix.  For eg. Dialing USA number 001-xxx-xxx-xxxx.  You dial 1xxxxxxxxxx (i.e. Country code + City code + Number).

  •  How do I enter different account no?

    Double click on the screen where the old account no is being displayed and a pop up windw opens where you can enter new account number and password.

  • Can I use my VOIZBAY Softphone globally?

    VOIZBAY
    provides you with the flexibility of using the pre-paid calling cards anywhere in the world by using VOIZBAY Softphone / Gateway.


  • why does voice breaks during a call?
    The quality and clarity of voice entirely depends on your Internet bandwidth.  Kindly check the Internet quality from your Internet Service Provider.  If your bandwidth is fluctuating, you will experience breakages in the voice.

  • Can I set the Codec depending on my Internet.

    Yes you can change the codec by clicking on “X” symbol which appears on keypad on the softphone.
    Click on Audio and say ok
    Then a pop up window appears wherein you can select the preferred codec and click on move up and say ok.“It is recommended to use G.729 for better voice quality. If you are on a Dialup Internet please select G.723.1.”

  • Error Opening Sound Card?

    This means your soundcard is not working properly. Or you have half duplex sound card.          Check your soundcard drivers and install full duplex sound card. Or else your sound card might be in use with some other applications like voice chat.
  • How do I do check if a port is closed on my firewall?

    At the time of installation the Soft Softphone will go through a network settings check which will check the availability of ports to complete the conversations. In some cases when you change your ISP or go from a broadband to a dial up or vise versa the ports may become unavailable due to firewall settings on the ISP side.

  • My Softphone was working fine yesterday / little while ago, but today I’m not getting sound.

    Sometimes if your switch dial ups or if your broadband provider resets his firewall, the availability of ports changes. In order to check availability of ports, please click on tools on the menu bar. Once you click on tools in the menu bar, select the network settings test. Please follow same steps as checking of firewall ports.

  • 18. Invalid Account Number and Pin Number?

    The reason could be that you might be using invalid account or invalid password. Please check your Global Number and Password from account activation email and then try.

  • 19. Not able to open the Softphone?

    You might have opened another VOIP service provider Softphone, please close all other Softphones and try again.

  • Dialer is showing as Registered but I am not getting any sound and the person I called cannot hear
    me
    .
    Please check to see if your headset / USB instrument is properly plugged in. Then check your audio settings by going to tools on the menu bar and clicking on audio tuning wizard.

  • I am showing as online but either I can’t hear them and they can hear me or I can hear them and they can’t hear me once the call gets connected.

    This is normally an Internet issue. This only happens if the bandwidth drops below a certain level. We would request you to disconnect and redial up to your ISP to improve your bandwidth
